Summary Overview
Since obtaining my PhD in Psychometrics in 1999 from Fordham University, I have worked in a wide variety of roles, both in traditional work settings and as a statistical analysis consultant. I have collaborated in projects spanning a wide variety of fields with special emphasis on education and the social sciences.
Let The Substance Drive The Data Analysis
The unifying factor of my expertise and experience is that I work with substantive experts, with the goal of letting the substance drive the statistical analysis, rather than the reverse.
My role is that of a collaborative problem solver. My clients and employers come to me with a set of questions they would like answered, or hypotheses they would like tested, or papers they want to write. I then work with clients to find the best methods to accomplish their goals through the application of statistical analysis.
Grant Preparation | Survey Analysis
At NDRI, my statistical analysis expertise was typically applied to grant preparation, survey development, and analysis of survey responses. Each project was several years in duration and involved.
My work with BrainScope making sense of a large number of variables to help answer a small set of inter-related questions.
At Downstate, it involves a much larger number of projects, but my work on each is more limited.
