ABD – All But Dissertation

By , April 28, 2010 10:44 am

If you have taken all the courses you need to earn your Ph. D. taken your Ph.D. qualifying exam and perhaps had your dissertation proposal approved then you are in that limbo called ABD. After all that hard work many feel like they deserve some recognition… and so someone invented the term ABD All But Dissertation degree. Don’t be tempted to settle for a fictional title, the ABD is not a real degree and will be worth much less to you in your career than a Ph.D.

When you have reached the ABD stage all you have to do is your original research and then write your dissertation with the assistance of you advisors and dissertation committee members.
Don’t stop at your ABD or you won’t ever enjoy all the career benefits and earning power a Ph.D. commands.

Enjoy the Benefits of a full Ph.D.

The quest for a doctoral degree is often a solitary pursuit and many candidates begin to drift and lose their structure just when they need it the most. The emotional, personal and intellectual drain leads many worthy graduate students to settle for their ABD rather than face the challenges ahead.

If you are stuck GIVE ME A CALL!

One key reason many ABD students fail to finish their dissertation is their lack of statistical know-how. They lack the depth of experience in creating, designing and implementing research methodology. They need guidance and direction performing statistical analysis and interpreting results in a reliable way. I will help you make sure your future and your career does not stall. I can help you go beyond ABD to Ph.D. by helping you finish your dissertation.
